PandaFam Needs Help!
PandaFam were originally from the small village of Dingle in the beautiful country of Ireland. 10 years ago, Mumma Panda was offered a job as a consultant at a Bamboo Factory in Hong Kong so she, her husband Padraig and their two eldest panda kids made the long move over to Asia and now live in the small village of Sheung Wan, on Hong Kong Island. They have since had two more kids in Hong Kong and have been joined by Padraig's brother and wife.
The only problem is, none of the PandaFam, apart from Padraig, have a name that's recognisable to humans.
Can you please help name the PandaFam. There's more - Mumma Panda is very kind and she wants to meet you all, so she said whoever comes up with the best names wins a pair of FREE WEEKEND festival tickets!
Please send us your best names HERE and the winners will be informed by email by February 10.
You can also win by colouring and naming this little fellow. Simply click to download the PDF.

Pádraig

I need a name
Padraig is a big kid at heart. He still loves to go out and listen to live music and enjoy some tasty beer with his friends and family. Padraig is particularly keen on Folk music for its variety and the way he can't help but dance to it.
Mumma Panda is big into health and fitness. She works long hours but still finds time to squeeze in her exercise routine. She likes nothing more than grooving away to upbeat Celtic tunes and is a particular fan of the mandolin.
I need a name
This is uncle. He only moved to Hong Kong 6 months ago and has carried his Irish musical traditions with him. He was always involved in the local seisiún, where a group of musicians gather in a local ale house to play music together, and is hoping to bring that tradition to Hong Kong.

I need a name
This is the eldest sister. She was born in Ireland and moved to Hong Kong when she was 6. She feels both Irish and a Hong Konger. She's really into fashion and can't wait for the boutique market at Irish Fest in March 2024. She's looking to buy herself some nice silver earrings.

I need a name
Eldest brother is big into the harp, after seeing Shelly Cox play a gig in Hong Kong. Shelly will be playing at Irish Fest in March and Brother can't wait to get the early bird tickets to ensure he doesn't miss a moment of the action.

This is one of the panda twins. She's only two years old and already she weighs 60kgs! Her favourite Irish singer is Sinead O'Connor and adores the haunting melody of Nothing Compares To You.
